Job Description

Merry Maids in Newport News is looking to expand their office team. This position is a leadership position for a self-starter with a strong work ethic, excellent customer service and time management skills, employee coaching/development skills, and strong leadership qualities. The right candidate must be available to work Monday thru Friday from 7:00A – 4:30P, and willing to put in extra time if needed. You must have a positive attitude and an exceptional work ethic. This is a fast-paced environment, best suited for high energy individuals that are quick learners and have the ability to multitask. Responsibilities

  • Open and close office Monday through Friday.
  • Recruit, hire, and supervise a staff of 20+ cleaning technicians.
  • Ensure all daily operations are carried on in an efficient, cost-effective way keeping high customer satisfaction.
  • Training and on boarding of new team members
  • Daily schedules of customers and employees
  • Answering phone calls and conducting phone sales
  • Build strong and positive relationships with cleaning staff

Skills and abilities needed:

  • Proven work experience as a manager or similar role

    • Outstanding telephone skills - The ability to communicate in a professional and courteous manner with customers, employees, potential customers,          and applicants. Must be comfortable speaking in a confident manner that communicates a commitment to customer service and satisfaction. Must h         have experience dealing with customer inquiries, complaints, and problem resolution.

  • Leadership ability - Understands the importance of reliability, determination, and displays a "can-do" attitude that sets the example for others. Does not require hands-on management by owner and can be counted on to get the job done with excellence. Looks for opportunities to encourage and develop others. Looks for ways to grow the company. Looks for opportunities to take initiative. Is effective and efficient at providing instructions to others. Works hard, but also gets things done.
  • Attention To Detail (Quality of work) - Does the job right the first time. Has a keen attention to detail and thoroughness to complete responsibilities in a thorough and accurate manner. Doesn't require reminding and prompting from owner to get the job done.
  • Follows Company Standards and Expectations - Follows company guidelines with regards to policies, procedures and expectations and is able to communicate these effectively.
  • Professionalism - Speaks, dresses, and portrays a confident and professional image (physically and verbally) that reflects the professional expectations of the company. Can communicate verbally and in writing in a professional manner.
  • Computer Skills - Is experienced and comfortable using a computer and internet-based programs such as e-mail, spreadsheets, calendars, etc. Is accurate with typing, spelling, and enters data accurately.
  • Attitude - Is upbeat, energetic, friendly, cheerful and displays a positive and determined attitude. Smiles. Has a good sense of humor, and is a pleasure to be around.
  • Time Management - Has the skills to work efficiently, prioritizing responsibilities and managing time effectively to insure the job gets done.

 

*This position offers salary pay and benefits such as:  health insurance, paid vacation, personal days and growth bonuses. 

 

 

 

 

 

Compensation: $31,000-36,000 based on experience
