Job Summary:
Support the Manager, Maintenance to plan and perform a variety of installation, repair, and maintenance tasks in support of the unique facilities dedicated to marine science research and education at the HPU Makapu`u Campus in Waimanalo, HI. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) installation and repair of various equipment associated with life-support systems for aquatic animals, preventative maintenance, repair of motor controllers, water pumps, lightingand heating systems,estimate and procure electrical and mechanical materials. Maintain seawater infrastructure and ensure compliance with use permits. Ensure all work performed is in accordance with established methods and procedures of the trade.
Location: This full-time position will be based out of our Oceanic Institute campus in Waimanalo (Makapuu).
