Overview
The Hotel at Holmes is located at the Holmes Student Center. As an integral part of the educational mission of Northern Illinois University, the Holmes Student Center is committed to providing the campus community with a gathering place that enhances student life, cultivates unity and promotes development through a variety of cultural, educational, social and recreational programs.
The Assistant Manager is a key component to the successful operation of the Hotel at Holmes. The Assistant Manager is responsible for the hiring, training, scheduling and supervision of hotel information desk and housekeeping staff. They provide a high level of customer service for students, visitors, and guests at the Holmes Student Center. They analyze hotel data, financials, and survey reports. They keep accurate records for audit purposes. The position assists with tracking budgets for student staffing and open orders.

This position supervises daily operations at the hotel information desk and in housekeeping to ensure the delivery of consistent quality customer service.
