Position: Restaurant Management

Position Overview

As a member of the Zaxby's management team, you'll play an important role in leading daily restaurant operations, supporting team members, and ensuring every guest receives outstanding service.

The ideal candidate is a strong team player who leads by example, communicates effectively, and takes pride in maintaining high standards for food quality, guest satisfaction, and operational performance.

• Flexible availability is required, including nights and weekends.
• Previous restaurant experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, supervise, and support team members, including cashiers and cooks, throughout each shift.
• Coach, motivate, and develop employees to encourage strong performance and teamwork.
• Assist with hiring, training, and scheduling staff to maintain excellent guest service while managing labor expenses.
• Ensure team members complete required training, including the Zaxby's Front of House Development Plan and hands-on station training.
• Foster a positive, supportive workplace focused on accountability, teamwork, and professional growth.

Guest Experience & Service

• Deliver friendly, enthusiastic, and attentive service to every guest.
• Ensure guests are promptly welcomed upon arrival and thanked as they leave.
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions and menu offerings.
• Assist guests by answering questions, explaining menu items, and recommending additional products.
• Represent the Zaxby's brand with professionalism, enthusiasm, and a guest-focused attitude.
• Ensure orders are accurately entered, prepared, packaged, and presented.
• Support front-of-house operations, including point-of-sale transactions, payment processing, and cash register operation.

Restaurant Operations & Financial Management

• Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and consistency.
• Manage inventory and monitor food costs to support profitability.
• Ensure daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly operational tasks and checklists are completed accurately.
• Maintain appropriate staffing levels while controlling labor expenses.
• Verify that cash drawers, safes, and credit card transactions are accurately balanced and documented.
• Oversee cash handling procedures, including counting tills, verifying payments, and recording totals.
• Help the restaurant meet or exceed established operating budgets and performance goals.
• Ensure all products meet Zaxby's quality and food safety standards.

Cleanliness, Safety & Quality

• Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming restaurant environment.
• Oversee cleanliness of the dining room, service counters, restrooms, workstations, and building exterior.
• Ensure paper goods, condiments, serving supplies, and beverages are properly stocked.
• Monitor restaurant equipment and communicate maintenance needs promptly.
• Promote a culture of quality, safety, and operational excellence.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Job Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to work a minimum of 9 hours per week.
• Flexible availability, including nights and weekends.
• Previous restaurant experience preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Dependable, motivated, and committed to delivering exceptional guest service.
• Willingness to take initiative and support the team wherever needed.
