    ABOUT THE ROLE

    The Accounts Payable Assistant Manager is primarily responsible for reviewing and overseeing the procure to pay process.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible for a team of 1-4 individuals. Delegate and oversee all work performed by team members.
    • Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff to build a high-performing, collaborative, and accountable team.
    • Review Accounts Payable processes with the intent to suggest process improvements that help evaluate, streamline, and document accounting processes to drive efficiency and reduce manual work.
    • Troubleshoot Accounts Payable related questions and communicate solutions to applicable teams both internal and external while maintaining a high level of customer service.
    • Perform other duties as required.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    High School graduate. Some college preferred or equivalent bookkeeping/accounting courses or seminars. At least one (5) years accounts payable or general accounting experience preferred. Ability to use Microsoft productivity software including Word and Excel. Experience with Yardi is a plus.

    The ideal candidate will exhibit:

    • Strong team player with a focus towards customer service.
    • Highly detail oriented with a critical degree of accuracy regarding data entry and analysis
    • Strong organizational ability
    • Ability to work independently, self-motivate, multi-task and work in a dynamic environment
    • A positive and professional attitude.
