Assistant Maintenance Technician

This is a temp-to-hire role supporting the Lead Maintenance Technician with work orders, preventative maintenance, and unit turns/make-readies. Candidates must have EPA Universal (EPA 608) or HVAC certification and at least 1 year of apartment or related maintenance experience.

Integra Staffing is hiring an Assistant Maintenance Technician for an apartment community. This is a temp-to-hire role supporting the Lead Maintenance Technician with work orders, preventative maintenance, and unit turns/make-readies. Candidates must have EPA Universal (EPA 608) or HVAC certification and at least 1 year of apartment or related maintenance experience.

Pay: $24–$25/hr. (Once hired, pay is negotiated)
Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8:00am–5:00pm (On-call once hired FT)

Responsibilities

• Assist with HVAC troubleshooting/repair and general maintenance tasks
• Complete and support work orders and preventative maintenance (PMs)
• Support unit turns / make-ready tasks as needed (painting, patching, minor carpentry)
• Assist with plumbing repairs (leaks, clogs, fixtures)
• Assist with electrical repairs (outlets, switches, lights; basic troubleshooting)
• Perform appliance repair (dishwasher, refrigerator, stove, disposal—basic diagnostics)
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and follow property safety procedures
• Communicate with the maintenance team and property management to prioritize tasks

Required Qualifications (Must Have):

• EPA Universal (EPA 608) OR HVAC certification (required)
• 1+ year experience as an Assistant Maintenance Technician (apartments preferred)
• Must provide own basic hand tools and gauges
• Must have two forms of ID for employment eligibility
• Apartment maintenance experience with turns/make-ready and work order systems
• Experience with preventative maintenance schedules
• HVAC troubleshooting beyond basics (compressors, capacitors, motors)
• Dress code: khaki pants or blue jeans + clean solid-color shirt
