The Opportunity
Gaines Investment Trust is seeking an experienced Assistant Lead Maintenance to join our team at Greyson’s Gate Apartments in Dallas.
This is a hands-on role for a skilled multifamily maintenance professional ready to take on additional responsibility while supporting the Lead Maintenance Supervisor and helping keep the community operating at a high standard.
What You'll Do
- Complete HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and general repairs
- Support daily maintenance operations and team priorities
- Complete service requests, apartment turns, and preventative maintenance
- Assist with property inspections and maintaining the community pool
- Help maintain grounds, common areas, and overall property appearance
- Troubleshoot maintenance issues and identify practical solutions
- Provide prompt, professional service to residents
- Support the Lead Maintenance Supervisor and maintenance team
- Participate in the rotational on-call schedule for maintenance emergencies
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of multifamily maintenance experience
- HVAC certification required
- Strong HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and general troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and support team priorities
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and quality workmanship
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- Dependable, motivated, and team-oriented
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to participate in the rotational on-call schedule
- Residence within a reasonable commute of Greyson’s Gate Apartments (20–30 minutes preferred)
