Assistant Maintenance Manager – Industrial Maintenance

Cushman & Wakefield Services is looking for an experienced Assistant Maintenance Manager to lead industrial maintenance operations across multiple local distribution sites, including three locations in the Bronx, NY.
We’re looking for a leader with experience in distribution, fulfillment, manufacturing, or other highly automated industrial environments, with a strong understanding of conveyor systems, automated material handling, robotics, and preventive/predictive maintenance.
What You’ll Do
Lead and develop industrial maintenance technicians across multiple sites.
Oversee maintenance of conveyors, sortation systems, motors, gearboxes, belts, rollers, robotics, sensors, controls, and automated material-handling equipment.
Manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
Prioritize and delegate preventive and corrective work orders based on equipment needs and technician capabilities.
Monitor maintenance KPIs including equipment uptime, downtime, PM completion, work order backlog, and reliability.
Partner with operations and site leadership to minimize equipment downtime and support production goals.
Drive root-cause analysis and continuous improvement for recurring equipment issues.
Ensure maintenance activities meet all safety, OSHA, and company requirements.
Recruit, coach, train, and hold maintenance team members accountable for performance.
What We’re Looking For
3-5+ years of people leadership experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, distribution, fulfillment, or a similar automated environment.
Multi-site maintenance leadership experience is REQUIRED.
Experience with conveyor systems and/or automated material-handling equipment is REQUIRED.
Strong knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical industrial maintenance.
Experience with preventive/predictive maintenance and equipment reliability.
Proven ability to manage KPIs, troubleshoot equipment issues, and lead maintenance teams.
Strong safety mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume industrial environment.
Education / Leadership Requirement
Bachelor’s degree + 3 years of leadership experience, OR
5+ years of leadership experience in lieu of a 4-year degree.
Technical certifications, mechanical/electrical training, or related experience are a plus.

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
The compensation for the position is: $ 98,600.00 - $116,000.00
