Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Lab Technician to join the Manufacturing (MFG) team at our Fremont, CA site. This role supports laboratory functions for Bulk Formulations, including cleaning, preparing, and stocking labware and consumables for manufacturing operations while ensuring compliance with cGMP, GDP, and safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

  • Support laboratory operations for Bulk Formulations.
  • Clean, prepare, and stock labware and consumables for manufacturing use.
  • Manufacture buffers and matrices and complete batch records following cGMP guidelines.
  • Perform in-process assays using spectrophotometers, pH meters, and related equipment.
  • Perform weighing, transferring, and mixing of chemicals.
  • Maintain daily logs in accordance with cGMP and GDP requirements.
  • Perform filtration operations using pumps and other equipment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and daily/weekly sustaining activities for the lab environment.
  • Keep the department lead or manager informed of issues and concerns.
  • Monitor inventory levels of common lab supplies and assist with reordering supplies and replacing broken or worn labware.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; AA degree preferred.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience working in a laboratory, manufacturing, or formulation support environment is highly desired.
  • Experience working in a cGMP facility preferred.
  • Knowledge of buffer preparation, batch production, and lab consumable management.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and focused.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to follow procedures carefully and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English instructions, both written and verbal.
  • Basic mathematical skills involving whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to manage multiple formulation batches and competing production priorities.
  • Understanding of manufacturing throughput, capacity constraints, and inventory/storage coordination.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with manufacturing, formulation, and operations teams.
  • Ability to support production schedules and respond to operational priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to adhere to strict safety protocols and procedures.
  • Ability to walk and/or stand for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours).
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs routinely and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Willingness to work in an environment involving controlled substances and comply with all applicable regulations and background screening requirements.
