KBR is seeking an Assistant IT Project Manager to support the Integration Accelerator (IA) program. This position will work directly with the IT Project Manager to coordinate, execute, and monitor multiple concurrent information technology projects supporting classified and unclassified environments. The successful candidate will assist with project planning, resource coordination, budgeting, risk management, vendor interaction, system implementation, and stakeholder communications.

The Assistant IT Project Manager will help manage technology modernization efforts, infrastructure deployments, classroom and training environments, cybersecurity compliance activities, and operational support initiatives. This role requires a strong technical foundation combined with leadership, organizational, and communication skills to ensure project milestones are achieved on schedule and within budget.

The ideal candidate possesses a background in systems administration, information assurance, network operations, and technology implementation projects within DoD and Intelligence Community environments. Experience working in TS/SCI facilities and coordinating across multiple organizations is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the IT Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing multiple IT projects.
  • Track project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and action items.
  • Coordinate with government customers, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support budget tracking, procurement activities, and asset management.
  • Facilitate project meetings and maintain project documentation.
  • Identify, document, and help mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Support implementation of IT infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and cloud-related initiatives.
  • Assist with requirements gathering, solution evaluation, and project reporting.
  • Coordinate technology refresh and modernization efforts.
  • Support testing, validation, and deployment activities.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable security policies, RMF requirements, and organizational standards.
  • Develop process improvement recommendations and documentation.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to technical personnel as assigned.
  • Support classified and unclassified operations in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Business, Project Management, or related discipline; equivalent experience may be substituted.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive experience supporting enterprise IT operations, systems administration, network administration, information assurance, or technical project execution.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating technology deployments and infrastructure projects.
  • Experience supporting classified environments and secure government networks.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Program Management, Information Technology Management, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • 10+ years of IT experience supporting DoD or Federal Government organizations.
  • Experience managing technology procurement and budgets.
  • Prior experience serving as a technical lead, team lead, supervisor, or project coordinator.
  • Experience establishing or supporting classroom, training, lab, or innovation environments.
  • Certifications such as Security+, Network+, ITIL, PMP, CAPM, Agile, or related credentials.

Required skills:

  • Strong project coordination and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Windows enterprise environments, and IT service management processes.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity principles.
  • Experience tracking project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Ability to work effectively with government and contractor personnel.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and reporting.

Preferred skills:

  • Experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community programs.
  • Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project management methodologies.
  • Experience with procurement and asset management.
  • Familiarity with RMF, NIST, DISA STIGs, and cybersecurity compliance requirements.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Systems administration or network administration experience.
  • Experience supporting classroom, training, or collaboration technology environments.
  • Technical writing and documentation development skills.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Basic Compensation:

$120-140k

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

  • KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
