THE TEAM

The Housekeeping team plays a vital role in creating exceptional guest experiences at Rosewood Calistoga. Working closely with Front Office, Engineering, Spa, Food & Beverage, and Talent & Culture partners, the team ensures every guest room, public space, laundry facility, uniform program, and back-of-house area reflects the highest standards of luxury hospitality and Forbes Five-Star excellence. As Assistant Housekeeping Manager, you will serve as a key operational leader supporting both housekeeping and laundry operations while helping to develop a high-performing team committed to service excellence.

YOUR ROLE

As Assistant Housekeeping Manager, you will serve as the operational leader responsible for the resort\''s in-house laundry, guest valet services, uniform room, and linen program. Approximately 75% of your focus will be dedicated to laundry and textile operations, ensuring exceptional quality, efficiency, inventory control, and service delivery.

Working alongside the Director of Housekeeping, you will coach and develop associates, oversee daily operations, support room inspections, manage productivity and labor resources, and help ensure every guest experience reflects Rosewood\''s commitment to luxury and Forbes Five-Star standards.

HOW YOU\''LL MAKE THE PLACE

• Lead the daily operation of the Laundry, Uniform Room, Linen Program, and Guest Valet Laundry Services.
• Ensure guest garments, pressing services, alterations, and specialty garment care consistently exceed Forbes Five-Star expectations.
• Oversee the complete uniform program, including issuance, inventory management, repairs, alterations, quality control, and replacement planning.
• Manage hotel-owned linen, terry, spa linen, restaurant linen, pool towels, and operating textiles while maintaining appropriate inventory levels and cost controls.
• Monitor laundry productivity, wash quality, textile life cycles, and operational performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Partner closely with Engineering to maintain laundry equipment and preventive maintenance programs.
• Conduct guestroom, villa, residence, and public area inspections to support Rosewood and Forbes Five-Star standards.
• Coach, mentor, and develop supervisors and associates through hands-on leadership, training, and recognition.
• Support scheduling, labor productivity, staffing deployment, and daily operational planning.
• Champion workplace safety, sustainability initiatives, and operational excellence throughout the department.
• Partner with leaders across the resort to deliver seamless guest experiences and resolve challenges effectively.
• Serve as the acting Housekeeping leader in the absence of the Director of Housekeeping.

COULD THIS BE YOU?

• 3+ years of housekeeping, laundry, or rooms leadership experience in a luxury hotel, resort, or Forbes-rated environment.
• Strong leadership, coaching, mentoring, communication, and team-development skills.
• Proven experience managing laundry operations, uniform programs, linen inventories, or textile-related services preferred.
• Strong knowledge of garment care, textile management, inventory controls, and operational productivity.
• Experience conducting inspections and maintaining luxury quality standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, and hotel management systems.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Comfortable working throughout a resort-style property in both indoor and outdoor environments, including varying weather conditions.

PAY TRANSPARENCY

The salary range for this position is $71,000-$75,000. This is the pay range that the company reasonably expects to pay for this position. This position may be eligible for bonus opportunities. Decisions regarding individual compensation will be based on several factors including experience, qualifications, education, and business needs.
