EXPERIENCE: One year as a Custodian
Position Function/Purpose
Daily Supervision of all assigned Custodial Staff to assure all Custodians follow routine cleaning and maintenance procedures to maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency of building operations and grounds.
Major Responsibilities
Manage and direct the work of the custodial staff on the assigned worksite
Keep the building and grounds including sidewalks, driveways, and play areas neat and clean Guard against fire and accident hazards
Keep operation cost to a minimum without reducing efficiency
Help to prevent property loss that may be caused by abuse
Keep all tools and equipment in serviceable condition. Practice and use preventive maintenance
Keep floor clean, waxed, buffed, vacuumed, or extracted
Schedule and execute all normal housekeeping operations
Keep light bulbs and tubes replaced
Report maintenance through proper channels
Responsible for the security of buildings
Responsible for normal heating and cooling maintenance operations
Setting and moving irrigation pipe and sprinklers on campus grounds as assigned
Perform such other duties as assigned by Custodial Supervisor or Director of School
