Job Posting

Join the Leadership Team at Brix Tavern Tualatin

Brix Tavern Tualatin is looking for an experienced, energetic, and hospitality-driven Assistant General Manager to join one of the busiest restaurants in our company.

Our restaurant serves a diverse mix of guests every day—from business lunches and happy hours to families, sports fans, and private events. No two days are the same. We are looking for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves developing people, and understands that exceptional hospitality is the foundation of everything we do.

If you're passionate about creating memorable guest experiences, coaching high-performing teams, and leading from the floor, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

As the Assistant General Manager, you will partner directly with the General Manager to oversee the daily operation of the restaurant while ensuring every guest receives an outstanding experience.

Responsibilities include:

  •  Lead daily restaurant operations while maintaining exceptional hospitality standards.
  •  Be a visible, hands-on leader during service, supporting both front and back of house teams.
  •  Coach, mentor, and develop hourly team members and shift leaders.
  •  Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management.
  •  Ensure consistent execution of service standards and company expectations.
  •  Build relationships with regular guests while creating memorable first impressions for new guests.
  •  Support scheduling, labor management, and productivity goals.
  •  Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety throughout the restaurant.
  •  Assist with inventory management, ordering, and cost controls.
  •  Oversee opening and closing procedures.
  •  Ensure compliance with OLCC regulations, food safety standards, and company policies.
  •  Help execute numerous private events while coordinating with the events and catering teams to ensure flawless execution.
  •  Handle guest concerns professionally and turn service opportunities into loyal guests.
  •  Work alongside the kitchen leadership to maintain food quality, ticket times, and communication between FOH and BOH.
Who We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is someone who:

  •  Leads by example and isn't afraid to jump into any position when needed.
  •  Creates a culture of accountability, teamwork, and hospitality.
  •  Has excellent communication and organizational skills.
  •  Remains calm and decisive during high-volume service.
  •  Understands financial performance and labor management.
  •  Enjoys coaching and developing future leaders.
  •  Takes ownership rather than waiting to be told what to do.
  •  Has a positive attitude and a genuine passion for hospitality.
Qualifications

  •  2+ years of restaurant management experience (high-volume preferred)
  •  Strong food, beverage, wine, and cocktail knowledge
  •  Experience managing labor and scheduling
  •  Experience hiring, coaching, and developing employees
  •  Strong understanding of guest service and hospitality
  •  OLCC Service Permit
  •  Oregon Food Handler Card
  •  Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  •  Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
