About the Role:Rusty Hooks Dockside Grill is looking for a driven and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team in the charming coastal town of Southport, NC. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership role where you'll help shape the guest experience, support daily operations, and grow alongside a passionate team. Responsibilities:- Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient service
- Supervise, coach, and motivate front-of-house and back-of-house staff to maintain high performance standards
- Monitor inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships to control costs and reduce waste
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations at all times
- Handle guest concerns and resolve issues promptly to maintain exceptional customer satisfaction
- Assist with scheduling, hiring, onboarding, and training of team members
- Support financial reporting, cash handling, and end-of-day reconciliation procedures
Requirements:- 2+ years of experience in a restaurant or hospitality management role
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in POS systems and basic restaurant operations software
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Food Handler Certification or ServSafe Manager Certification preferred
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment
