Assistant General Manager
Job Summary:
The Nassau Diner is seeking for an experienced and team-oriented candidate for the Assistant General Manager. This is a Full-Time position. Candidate must be willing to work weekdays, weekends and/or holidays.
Essential Functions:
- Oversee and perform all duties of the Front Desk
- Monitor and maintain store inventory pars
- Maintain a very clean work environment
- Monitor daily reservations and make confirmation phone calls as appropriate
- Record all deliveries (paper, produce etc) and any errors
- Coach and support new and existing staff members
- Handle customer reservations and requests over the phone
- Make sure all employees follow company policies and guidelines
- Maintain professionalism and set an example for all staff
- Ensure diner is complying with health and safety regulations
- Support General Manager as applicable
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- More than two years in FOH restaurant experience

- The employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
- The employee is frequently required to stand and walk
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, distance vision, color vision & focus

- Restaurant environment.
- The noise level in this workplace is usually moderate to high.
Education and Experience:
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus, however, not required
