Lola Rose Grand Mezze is now recruiting for an Assistant General Manager to join the hotel's Food & Beverage leadership team. Tucked above the buzz of Downtown, on the second floor of Thompson Palm Springs Resort, Lola Rose Grand Mezze is more than just a restaurant-it's a journey. Since opening in 2024, Thompson Palm Springs Resort has quickly established itself as the desert's most coveted lifestyle resort in the heart of downtown Palm Springs. Showcasing iconic mid-century modern design, bungalow-inspired accommodations, iconic dining, and vibrant social experiences, the resort has become a sought-after destination for discerning travelers, luxury weddings, milestone celebrations, brand activations, corporate retreats, and high-profile events.

The resort features Lola Rose, a bold Eastern Mediterranean dining experience inspired by the spice markets of Istanbul and the seasonal bounty of California, alongside Bar Issi, an elevated coastal Italian concept that blends relaxed luxury with coastal culinary sophistication. Two expansive pool experiences, immersive mountain views, the HALL Napa Valley Tasting Room, and over 35,000 square feet of dynamic indoor and outdoor event venues provide endless opportunities for unforgettable gatherings. Thompson Palm Springs Resort was recently recognized among Condé Nast Traveler's Top 10 Best New Hotels in the World (2026) and ranked the #1 Hotel in Southern California in the Condé Nast Readers' Choice Awards (2025).

This highly visible role will report directly to the Restaurant General Manager - Lola Rose Grand Mezze.

The Assistant General Manager will support the following food and beverage outlets within the hotel operated by Hyatt which will include:

• Lola Rose Grand Mezze- three meal restaurant & lounge
• In-Room Dining- Offering breakfast, lunch & dinner
• Responsible for the short- and long-term planning of the restaurant
• Ensure effective hiring, training, development and promotion of team
• Lead and coach team towards achieving exceptional guest services and colleague satisfaction results
• Full understanding of Colleague engagement
• Responsible for maintaining a high energy, positive, professional appearance
• Plan, coordinate & manage special events and holiday functions
• Ability to take the initiative to run the outlets as a free-standing entity

This is an exempt (salaried) role. The budgeted salary range for this position is $77,000 - $98,000. This is the pay range for this position that Thompson Palm Springs Resort reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors including experience and education.

Qualifications

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment

• Refined written and verbal communication skills

• A desire to exceed guest expectations

• Full-Time Management Position that requires full flexibility, ability to work weekends and holidays and a varied schedule

• Previous Assistant Restaurant Manager, Assistant Food & Beverage Manager or supervisory experience required

• Proficient computer knowledge, including working knowledge of point of sales systems

• Candidates should be extremely detail oriented and organized, have strong leadership skills and possess a strong food and beverage knowledge.

• Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, and effective in providing exceptional customer service
