Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented Assistant General Manager to join our team.

As Assistant General Manager, you'll play an important role in supporting hotel operations, delivering exceptional service, and helping our team achieve its operational and business goals.

Job Purpose

The leadership position is responsible for providing direction, accountability, and operational support within the assigned hotel function. This position leads associates, supports business objectives, maintains company and brand standards, and contributes to an exceptional guest and associate experience.

What You'll Do

  • Provide leadership and direction for assigned hotel operations and associates.
  • Set clear expectations and monitor performance, productivity, and service standards.
  • Coach, train, develop, and recognize associates to support engagement and retention.
  • Monitor operational and financial performance and take appropriate action to achieve goals.
  • Ensure compliance with Hotel Equities standards, brand requirements, and company policies.
  • Respond effectively to guest concerns and support a consistent service-recovery culture.
  • Manage schedules, staffing, supplies, and departmental resources as appropriate.
  • Review reports, trends, and key performance information to support sound decisions.
  • Communicate effectively with hotel leadership and other departments.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning as appropriate.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred for director-level roles.
  • Previous hotel or hospitality experience appropriate to the position.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred for management roles.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze information and make sound operational decisions.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

  • Stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the hotel as needed.
  • Use computers, tablets, phones, and standard office equipment for extended periods.
  • Occasionally lift or carry supplies and equipment up to 25 pounds.
  • Travel throughout the property and occasionally off-site for meetings and business needs.

Technology & Systems

Experience with the following is preferred:

  • Property Management Systems (PMS)
  • Hotel reporting and operating platforms
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Department-specific systems and applications
