Description

Assistant General Manager

The Partridge Inn Augusta | Curio Collection by Hilton

NorthPointe Hospitality – One of the Nation's Top 100 Hotel Management Companies

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are not looking for someone to simply help us run a hotel. We are looking for a leader who will help us become one of the top 10 Curio Collection properties in the United States.

The Partridge Inn is more than a hotel. Built in 1910, our historic Augusta landmark has welcomed generations of travelers, dignitaries, and celebrities. Today, our 143-room property combines Southern hospitality with distinctive dining at 8595 Restaurant & Bar, skyline views from Six South Rooftop, and memorable weddings and events.

The history is extraordinary. Our next chapter is about execution, exceptional guest experiences, and a team that performs at the level this property deserves.

That's where you come in.

We are seeking a hands-on Assistant General Manager who will serve as the General Manager's trusted operational partner. You will directly oversee Front Office operations while helping lead the broader hotel, develop future leaders, drive financial performance, and elevate the guest experience.

This is an opportunity for someone who wants more than a title. We want someone who takes ownership, leads by example, and is ready to make a meaningful impact.

WHO YOU ARE

You have run the floor and you have run the numbers. You understand a P&L, can turn a frustrated guest into a loyal one, and know that exceptional hospitality starts with the smallest details.

You are equally comfortable coaching a department leader, supporting a busy Front Desk, reviewing financial results, or rolling up your sleeves when the operation needs you.

You don't lead from behind a desk. You lead alongside your team.

You believe in accountability without losing compassion, developing people rather than simply managing them, and creating a culture where genuine hospitality is more than a slogan.

Most importantly, you are ready to be a true second-in-command, with the ambition and potential to grow into a General Manager role.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Lead the Front Office

  • Take direct ownership of Front Office operations, including guest services and coordination with Bell, Valet, and Shuttle teams.
  • Coach and develop the Front Office Supervisor and team, building a strong leadership structure and future talent.
  • Oversee scheduling, labor, room inventory, billing accuracy, service standards, and daily operational execution.
  • Maintain a visible presence, particularly during peak arrivals, departures, and high-demand periods.

Elevate the Guest Experience

  • Drive improvement in Hilton Stay Experience scores, online reputation, and overall guest satisfaction.
  • Lead guest service recovery with empathy, urgency, and accountability.
  • Identify service gaps, implement improvements, and create memorable guest experiences that build loyalty.

Be the GM's Right Hand

  • Help lead daily hotel operations, support department heads, and ensure accountability across the property.
  • Conduct property inspections and partner with Housekeeping, Engineering, and Food & Beverage to maintain exceptional standards.
  • Serve as Manager on Duty and confidently lead the property in the General Manager's absence.
  • Develop team members, strengthen departmental collaboration, and help build a culture of ownership and genuine hospitality.

Drive Results

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, payroll, expense management, and overall financial performance.
  • Monitor occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, GOP, labor productivity, and guest satisfaction trends.
  • Support Hilton brand compliance, Quality Assurance readiness, and NorthPointe Hospitality standards.
  • Take on additional operational and administrative responsibilities as the property's leadership structure evolves.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Five or more years of progressive hotel experience, including at least three years in a leadership role.
  • Strong Front Office management experience, ideally in an upscale, full-service, lifestyle, or luxury hotel.
  • Proven success in guest service recovery, team development, labor management, and operational execution.
  • Solid understanding of hotel financials, budgeting, and performance metrics.
  • Hilton or Marriott brand and property management system experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, sound judgment, and the ability to lead with both confidence and humility.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as business demands.

Above all, we value hospitality instincts, leadership ability, accountability, and the desire to make a difference.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
  • 401(k) with up to 4 percent company match.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Paid time off and team member travel benefits.
  • Professional development and a path toward future General Manager opportunities.
  • The chance to help shape the future of one of Augusta's most iconic historic hotels.
