    Primary Purpose

    A mid-level attorney in the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) practice area responsible for providing full legal services to clients under the supervision of a managing or supervising attorney. Carries out legal assignments, including research and preparation of contracts and briefs. Performs non-routine legal assignments.

    Primary Duties

    1 Performs broad and moderately complex legal assignments in the area of FERC regulations and policies. Assists more experienced attorneys in representing Exelon in agency proceedings and/or relevant litigation. Advise clients with respect to all legal and FERC compliance matters.

    2 Responsible for developing an understanding of each assigned client's business and business philosophy.

    3 Prepare, and revise as necessary, budgets and early matter assessments for all matters involving outside counsel.

    4 Projects / duties as assigned.

    Job Scope

    • Supports more experienced attorneys in ongoing relationships and matters with Business Units and outside counsel.
    • Able to think strategically and work with Business Units to achieve Company objectives and manage risk.
    • Ability to learn, adopt, and leverage AI-enabled tools to support research, drafting, and analysis while applying sound professional judgment.

    Minimum Qualifications

    An LLB or JD from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdictions. At least 4 years of professional experience in a specialized area of law. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Requires excellent legal research, analytical abilities and on ongoing knowledge of federal and/or state law as required by the position.

    Must have the ability to communicate clearly - both orally and in writing; to read and analyze legal materials and other data; to work in stressful conditions under time deadlines

    • Annual salary will vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors: $132,800.00/Yr. - $182,600.00/Yr.
