EagleBank is committed to inclusion, equity, and respect. We celebrate diversity and intentionally seek out opportunities to learn from one another’s experience. We believe employees are essential to the building of relationships and we prioritize investing in employee growth and wellbeing. Employee involvement is fostered through resource groups, mentorship programs, community service, and scholarship opportunities for continued education. With features including maternity and parental leaves, wellness discounts, healthcare premium sharing, employer funding in your HSA account, and 100% 401(k) matching up to 4%, we pride ourselves in the ways we support our internal relationships. The minimum and maximum projected annualized salary for this position is: $114,071.00 to $192,797.00. Additional compensation may be possible based on experience and skills.
The Assistant General Counsel will provide broad-based legal support to EagleBank—a leading and trusted regional bank in the greater Washington, D.C. area—and its holding company, Eagle Bancorp, Inc., serving as a key member of the Legal Department. This position offers an unparalleled opportunity for almost immediate hands-on experience working directly with the highest levels of the company, including executive management and the Board of Directors. This role requires a highly adaptable attorney who can operate across multiple practice areas and step in wherever the business needs legal guidance. While versatility is essential, the ideal candidate will bring particular depth in employment and/or securities disclosure law. Candidates with litigation backgrounds are particularly valued for the analytical rigor, adaptability, and rapid learning skills that litigation experience cultivates—though the role itself is not necessarily a litigation position
