Job Summary
The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager supports the daily operations of the food and beverage department, ensuring efficient service, well-stocked bar areas, and satisfied guests. This role works closely with the F&B team to supervise shifts, address guest needs, and maintain high standards of service and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily food and beverage operations to ensure efficient, high-quality service across all outlets
Supervise and support front-of-house and bar staff during scheduled shifts
Assist with guest requests and resolve service issues promptly and professionally
Monitor and maintain bar inventory, ensuring proper stocking levels of beverages and supplies
Run shift operations, including opening and closing procedures, staff coordination, and service flow management
Collaborate with the Food and Beverage Manager to implement operational policies and service standards
Train and mentor staff on service protocols, guest interaction, and operational procedures
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations throughout all shifts
Required Qualifications
Previous experience in a food and beverage, restaurant, or hospitality supervisory role
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for guest and staff interactions
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
Basic knowledge of bar operations, inventory management, and beverage service
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field
Prior experience running shifts or managing small teams in an F&B setting
Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory tracking tools
Alcohol service certification (e.g., TIPS or equivalent) is a plus
