    Position at The Elegant Child Early Learning Center

    The Elegant Child in Wildwood is a licensed childcare center seeking full-time Assistant Teachers for our School Age program and Floater Teachers to support all age groups, Infants-Prek. 

    To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a high school diploma OR GED and the ability to pass all background checks. A plus if you have previous childcare experience!  

    Required Shift: Monday - Friday, (Floating) 11am-5:30pm or 12-5:30pm OR split shift (School Age) 7:30-9:30am AND 2:30-5:30pm

    Compensation: $15.50 - $17.00/ hr. based on education and experience.

      Main Job Responsibilities:  

      • Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center. 
      • Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in the areas of emotion, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development. 
      • Take direction, accept constructive criticism, and feedback, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the quality of the program. 
      • Create and maintain an environment that is clean and safe for all children. 
      • Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children. 
      • Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs. 
      • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
