Description

This position works alongside the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to manage and enhance the firm's financial operations, reporting, and strategy. The role blends day-to-day management of the financial operations and strategic projects, with a focus on the specific nuances of managing institutional accounts and public equity investment strategies. The successful candidate will have 5-10 years of relevant experience in asset management, investment management, or financial services. MS degree in Finance or related field required.

We are seeking an energetic, dynamic individual to help manage day-to-day financial operations and strategic projects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support the CFO in managing financial aspects of the firm, including forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis
  • Assist in daily operational tasks and preparing client deliverables as well as developing transition plans for and onboarding of new client mandates
  • Assist in managing accounting functions, including bookkeeping and oversight of accounting software systems and tools, and vendor relationships
  • Assist in the preparation of tax returns and internal and external financial statements in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate and timely reporting of firm performance, including AUM tracking, management fee and incentive fee calculations
  • Collaborate with operations, compliance, and portfolio management teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting for investment mandates
  • Oversee vendor relationships related to financial services, fund administration, audit, and tax
  • Assist with client and regulatory reporting (e.g., ADV, Form PF, GIPS compliance)
  • Support business development efforts with financial analyses
  • Contribute to risk management, internal controls, and process improvement initiatives for the finance function and the firm

Requirements include:

  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; CPA strongly preferred and CIPM and/or CFA designation is a plus
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in asset management, investment management, or financial services
  • Understanding of institutional investing and separately managed accounts and commingled funds, especially U.S. and global equity strategies
  • Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting
  • Familiarity with investment performance metrics, fee structures, and reporting standards
  • Excellent analytical, modeling, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Advent, or similar platforms)
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of integrity and confidentiality
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally

When determining the actual base salary offered to successful candidates, various factors will be considered, including but not limited to, the candidate's relevant experience, skills, and qualifications for the role, as well as level of education attained, certifications, and other professional licenses held. The expected base salary for this position is $150,000-$200,000.
