Summary

Saint Xavier University seeks applicants for an Esports Overwatch Coach to be responsible for assisting and reporting to the Director of Esports in the administration of a comprehensive collegiate esports program that will help make the college a leader in the industry for both a varsity program and on-campus opportunities including the recruitment and retention of student-athletes interested in esports, coaching of students, facility management, team scheduling, and community outreach. The position is a stipend position and reports to the Director of Esports.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with the recruiting process of prospective student-athletes for esports including required information for admission to the school and continuing conversations and contact with prospective student-athletes. Help with coordination and execution of practice, competition, and travel
• Conduct coaching and instruction activities during training, practice, and competition.
• Aid in the development of marketing and communications materials for the Esports program.
• Contribute to oversight of the Esports Arena to maintain the safety of students and equipment within the space.
• Community Responsibilities
• Attend admissions/esports events on and off campus to answer questions and support students interested in esports
• Interact with communities outside of Saint Xavier interested in esports

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Esports experience and knowledge of Overwatch
• Availability to work primarily nights and weekends

Willingness to travel as needed
