About the Role
Are you a high-energy leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and loves developing people? Our Chick-fil-A store is seeking an Assistant Director to lead daily operations across either our Front-of-House (FOH) or Back-of-House (BOH) teams.
In this role, you will work side-by-side with our Directors, Executive Director and Franchise Operator to drive operational excellence, coach Team Members, and deliver "Second-Mile Service" to our guests. Whether you specialize in kitchen throughput and food safety (BOH) or guest experience and drive-thru speed (FOH), you will be a core engine driving daily store performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Execution: Lead floor shifts in either FOH (Dining Room, Drive-Thru, Front Counter) or BOH (Kitchen, Food Prep, Assembly), maintaining speed of service, food safety, and brand standards.
- Team Leadership & Coaching: Model "servant leadership" on the floor. Provide real-time coaching, training, and feedback to Shift Leaders and Team Members.
- Labor & Business Management: Manage on-the-floor labor, adjust positioning during rushes, and monitor key operational metrics (CEM scores, drive-thru times, waste, or labor efficiency).
- Culture & Standards: Enforce store policies, guest service standards, cleanliness, and safety compliance throughout the shift.
- Issue Resolution: Act as a primary escalation point for customer recovery (FOH) or inventory/equipment bottlenecks (BOH).
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 1-3+ years of leadership experience in a high-volume restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment (Chick-fil-A or QSR experience strongly preferred).
- Schedule Availability: Must be willing and able to work 45 to 50 hours per week based on seasonal volume and business needs (includes morning, evening, and Saturday shifts).
- Hands-on Mindset: Physical capability to stand for long periods, work in high-speed environments, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Key Traits: Strong communication skills, emotional intelligence, urgency, problem-solving skills, and a passion for serving others.
Pay & Earnings Breakdown
- Hourly Base Rate: $22.00 - $25.00 / hour
- Overtime Rate (Hours 40+): $33.00 - $37.50 / hour (1.5x base rate)
- Weekly Hours: Minimum 45 hours, maximum 50 hours per week based on peak operational demand.
- 45 Hours/Week (Minimum Target): $54,340 - $61,750 / year
- 50 Hours/Week (Maximum Target): $62,920 - $71,500 / year
