JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for on-campus and off-campus student recruiting events for the College of Science, assists in the leadership of the College of Science’s premier peer mentoring program (COSMIC), holistic advising, which includes general advising for mentors, mentees, and non-COSMIC undergraduate students, and other duties as assigned. The Assistant Director of Recruitment and Retention will serve under the direction of the Director of Recruitment and Retention.
JOB DUTIES:
5% - Program Liaison for faculty/staff/students: Maintain active relationships with student services personnel, SCIENCE departments, and University personnel, including professionals in scholarships, financial aid, UPIC, Career Center, University-level mentoring programs, and admissions. Work with the College of Science Director of Alumni Relations to garner COSMIC alumni support and engagement. 5% - Assessment: Assess individual ambassador and mentor performance. Assist with COSMIC program assessments. Lead undergraduate recruiting assessments. Seek funding opportunities to support COSMIC. Attend continuing education and staff development opportunities. 50000 - 56100Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL:
Normal Operations - Required to follow emergency facility closure and modified operations directives, and not normally expected to work on-site during emergency situations.
