Job Summary
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) provides key leadership in ensuring high-quality, evidence-based patient care across the Nursing Services department. Reporting to the Director of Nursing (DON), this role supports the planning, organization, staffing, and direction of nursing operations to maintain compliance with all laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
The ADON leads and supports departmental quality improvement projects and initiatives, evaluating performance data, identifying areas for enhancement, and implementing action plans to uphold accreditation and regulatory expectations-particularly those related to AAAHC standards.
Working collaboratively with other departments within Purdue University Student Health (PUSH), the ADON promotes patient-centered care and operational excellence. Serving as a resource for departmental managers, this position guides quality improvement practices, ensuring consistency, compliance, and continuous advancement of clinical standards.

Proficient in electronic health records, auditing, and IT communication systems.
