Cura Health is looking for a committed Assistant Director of Nursing to join our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) team, providing support to the Director of nursing and participating in the on-call support as part of our dedicated nursing leadership. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the overall management of nursing services, ensuring excellent patient care, and acting as a reliable resource during on-call rotations. The position requires strong clinical expertise, leadership abilities, and the capability to respond promptly to facility needs outside regular business hours when on call. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing nursing operations within the SNF to maintain high standards of care.
  • Have an understanding of infection control processes and proce
  • Provide on-call support to handle nursing staff issues, patient care concerns, and emergency situations.
  • Support the Director of Nursing in staff supervision, training, and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations specific to skilled nursing facilities.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote effective care coordination.
  • Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
  • Help manage staffing concerns, resources, and documentation accuracy.
  • Serve as a clinical and leadership resource for nursing staff during on-call periods.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
  • Previous experience in nursing leadership within a skilled nursing or long-term care environment.
  • Familiarity with SNF regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead nursing teams.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and prioritize patient safety.
