What you will be doing:
- Supporting the Director of Nursing in overseeing daily nursing operations
- Managing staffing, hiring, training and performance of the nursing team
- Ensuring patient care meets federal, state and local compliance standards
- Stepping in to lead the nursing team when the DON is unavailable
- Handling crisis intervention and incident investigations
- Identifying staff education needs and building training programs
What you need to bring:
- Current RN license in Michigan
- Minimum two years of RN experience in a behavioral health or psychiatric setting
- At least one year of nursing leadership or management experience
- CPR and de-escalation certification required upon hire
- Experience in a union hospital environment is a strong plus
