Job Title: Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) – Lead Trauma Registrar
Location: Bronx, NY
Job Type: Contract-to-Permanent (Temp-to-Perm)
Duration: 9 weeks
Shift: Day Shift | Flexible: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, or 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 37.5 hours/week

Pay Rate
Local: $2,500 - $3,100/week

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced nursing leader to oversee trauma registry operations, reporting, quality improvement, and clinical performance monitoring. Candidates must be interested in transitioning to a permanent, full-time position.

Required Qualifications

  • Active New York State RN license.

  • Primary Source Verification of RN license and registration through NYSED.

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.

  • Current BLS certification.

  • Certified Abbreviated Injury Scale Specialist (CAISS) certification from AAAM.

  • American Trauma Society (ATS) ICD-10 certification.

  • American Trauma Society (ATS) Trauma Registry Course certification.

  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory role.

  • At least 1 year of Trauma Center experience.

  • Report-writing experience and proficiency.

  • Strong supervisory, patient care, program development, and performance monitoring skills.

  • Experience developing record-keeping systems and monitoring clinical performance.

  • Must be seeking permanent, full-time employment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Nursing.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee trauma registry operations and related reporting activities.

  • Plan and develop programs to improve patient care quality and employee performance.

  • Monitor patient care performance and evaluate unit operations with nurse managers.

  • Communicate performance concerns and assist with corrective action plans.

  • Develop and maintain record-keeping systems for medication errors, counseling, and performance monitoring.

  • Prepare reports and ensure accurate documentation of trauma-related data.

  • Support compliance with clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and institutional policies.

  • Collaborate with nursing leadership, trauma teams, and healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes.

  • Provide supervisory leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff.

  • Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives and staff development.
