Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)

Support the Director of Nursing in managing clinical operations, maintaining regulatory compliance, developing nursing staff and improving resident care within a skilled nursing facility.

Responsibilities

• Help oversee daily nursing operations and resident care.

• Supervise, guide and support nursing employees.

• Coordinate orientation, staff education and required in-service training.

• Contribute to QAPI, survey preparation and quality improvement.

• Partner with interdisciplinary teams to improve resident outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active New York RN license and graduation from an accredited nursing program.

• At least one year of nursing-home ADON experience.

• Two to three years of nursing leadership experience in a skilled nursing facility.

• Familiarity with CMS, NYSDOH, CDC and OSHA requirements.

• Strong clinical judgment, organization, communication and leadership.

• Staff development, infection prevention or nursing management experience preferred.
