Description

The Assistant Director of International Admissions has the primary responsibility for assisting the Executive director in marketing, attracting, recruiting, admitting, and enrolling new graduate and undergraduate international students.

Actual salaries will vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to degrees attained, experience, and other considerations permitted by law. Comprehensive compensation details, including any additional benefits, will be communicated upon finalization of the employment offer.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the strategies, initiatives, and processes which seek to enroll an academically talented, culturally diverse, undergraduate and graduate international student body each spring and fall semesters according to the agreed-upon new student enrollment target goals.
  • Responsible for comprehensive student prospect management through two recruitment cycles of inquiries, applications, accepts, financial aid, virtual or in-person visits/appointments, acquisition of required credentials, and enrollment deposits.
  • Establishes and maintains an informational, active, and timely communication system with prospective students, their parents (if applicable), high school or college officials, and engaged SC alumni when warranted.
  • Counsels prospective students concerning admissions, financial aid, acquisition of global secondary educational documentation and financial guarantee international documentation materials, housing options, co-curricular opportunities, and career planning.
  • Conducts office-based contact by all means necessary.
  • Uses prospect management techniques to conduct appropriate outreach to students at each stage of the admissions process.
  • Assists in managing one or two student employees who also assist with student prospect management.
  • Reviews and makes admissions recommendations to all international applications.
  • Aids in the review of international transcripts for domestic students for other departments.
  • Remain up to date on all international education policies.
  • Works cooperatively and collaboratively campus-wide including but not limited to the offices of Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions, Academic Affairs, Financial Aid, Student Affairs, Academic Advising, International Center, Housing and Residential Life, Athletics, Registrar, Bursar, and Alumni Affairs to ensure the successful matriculation to Springfield College.
  • Coordinates with the Director and travels occasionally on strategic international recruitment trips each academic year.
  • Travels to select domestic high schools to recruit international students.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree Required. Masters Degree Preferred.
  • At least 1 year of work-related experience Required.
