The Assistant Director of Annual Giving is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating strategies designed to increase annual giving participation and philanthropic support for Iona University. Reporting to the Senior Director of Alumni Engagement & Annual Giving, the Assistant Director will play a key role in advancing the University's annual giving priorities through integrated fundraising campaigns, direct marketing, digital fundraising, data analysis, donor segmentation and performance measurement. The Assistant Director will plan and manage all marketing aspects of the Annual Fund program to ensure appropriate solicitation strategies are implemented and that fundraising goals are achieved.
This position requires a highly organized, analytical and collaborative professional who can manage multiple priorities, identify opportunities for greater efficiency, and work effectively with colleagues across Advancement and the University.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required.
At least 2-3 years of progressively responsible experience in annual giving, fundraising, development, alumni relations, advancement operations, project management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong knowledge of annual giving and fundraising principles, with the ability to develop, implement and evaluate fundraising strategies.
Excellent project management, organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret fundraising data, identify trends and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal and collaborative abilities.
Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for process and workflow improvements.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and fundraising databases, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in higher education advancement or a complex nonprofit fundraising environment.
Experience managing all aspects of GiveCampus, including campaign setup, configuration, reporting and performance tracking.
Experience developing and implementing process improvements or workflow enhancements.
