Schedule:
Full-Time: Monday - Friday 8:30am-4:30pm (on call during off hours)
Some Job Responsibilities:
Maintains a program caseload as designated by the Director of Day and Employment Services.
Monitors the timely and accurate delivery of all habilitation, clinical and special services as they pertain to the people in their program.
Fosters and maintain program continuity between the Day Habilitation, Vocational Services and Residential Services.
Acts as a liaison between the Center and OPWDD, ACCES-VR, and other government and/or outside agencies.
Ensures that arrangements are made for the provision of appropriate follow-up services to a discharge plan for people who leave our day services.
Participates in the planning and implementation of program initiatives and policies.
Oversees all aspects of daily operations for assigned programs.
On call for program activities that take place after program hours.
Ensures quality programing and regulatory compliance of assigned programs.
Ensures that the programs operate in a safe and fiscally responsible manner.
Responsible for the direct supervision of Program Supervisors and Assistant Supervisors.
Responsible for hiring, firing and evaluation of direct support staff in their programs.
Responsible for keeping the Director well informed of the overall status of the program operations.
Ensures Director is informed of any significant issues concerning the individuals receiving services.
Assumes responsibility for the operation of the Adult Day Services Division in the absence of the Director.
Assists Director in the development and maintenance of program specific Policy and Procedure Manuals.
Job Qualifications:
Master's degree in human services or related field preferred;
Valid NYS Driver's License preferred;
Good written and/or verbal communication skills;
Ten years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities;
Two years of supervisory experience;
Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations and employment services for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities;
Maintain a flexible work schedule to meet needs of individuals and programs;
Must be able to perform physical activities such as (but not limited to); twisting, bending, crouching, pulling, pushing.
Must be able to sit, walk, drive, and stand for prolonged periods of time;
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
