Position Summary:
The Assistant Director of Admissions serves as the primary application reviewer and processor for all domestic Charleston 4-year Undergraduate, 2-year Associate, and Graduate Health Science programs. Under the direct supervision of the Director of Admissions Operations, the Assistant Director of Admissions will execute daily application management, cyclical enrolled student file audits, transcript management, and run application imports in addition to all other vendor imports to provide comprehensive data management support for the Office of Admissions. Additionally, this position will be responsible for supervision of Graduate Assistants, as well as planning and coordinating on campus recruitment events and Admissions Counselor travel.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provision and review all incoming Undergraduate applications for Charleston 4 year programs (and Charleston ADN) as well as provision all Graduate Health Science applications for programmatic review in CRM Recruit, aiming for a 1-2 business day turnaround for all completed application packets.
- Maintain a daily schedule of application imports from various vendors, such as Common App and Universal App.
- Oversee manual hardcopy application entry into CRM Recruit to ensure all are entered and reviewed within 1-2 business days.
- Maintain a daily schedule of Inquiry and Suspect imports from various vendors such as ENCOURA, Niche, Sage Scholars, etc.
- Maintain a daily schedule of retrieving transcripts from various vendors such as Parchment, National Student Clearinghouse, SCOIR, etc.
- Conduct routine enrolled student file audits leading up to each semester's census period ("Freeze Day") to ensure data accuracy and alignment.
- Provide weekly reports regarding Applicant > Admit yield.
- Coordinate with various campus stakeholders regarding students seeking readmission to the University.
- Maintain a daily schedule of coding Enrollment Deposits received in both CRM Recruit & Colleague to ensure consistent email credential generation.
- Assist with various operational projects such as Fall application configuration rollouts, Common App configurations, and CRM template updates.
- Plan and execute on-campus recruitment events.
- Coordinate Admissions Counselor travel to off-campus recruitment events.
- Coordinate execution of "Home to UC" recruitment program.
- Supervise departmental Graduate Assistants.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Earned bachelor's degree, master's degree preferred
- A minimum of 2 years professional experience, preferably in an education or enrollment management setting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborative mindset
- Ability to build and manage a consistent processing schedule
- Ability to work independently
- Familiarity with customer relationship software (CRM) system
