    Job Summary/Basic Functions

    Under broad review from the Director of Nurse Midwifery Program, incumbent is responsible for assisting in the daily organization and administration of the BSN to DNP Nurse Midwifery Program of study with primary responsibility for the implementation and coordination of student didactic & clinical learning experiences.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Required Education: Master''s

    Other Education if applicable: Master''s in Nursing. If not doctorally-prepared, must be enrolled in a doctoral degree program

    Required Field of Study: Nurse Midwifery

    Certifications or Licenses Required: Licensed or eligible for licensure in Louisiana as an RN and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (at start date), currently certified/re-certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board with a current/active Nurse Midwifery practice.

    Number of years required to perform the job: One year

    Type of experience required to perform the job: Experience in a nurse midwifery program as a faculty member or administrator.

    Substitution: Without experience in nurse midwifery program faculty, three years experience in nursing education and five years of practice as a Nurse Midwife.
