Tennessee State University invites applicants for the Assistant Director of the Intensive English Center. The selected candidate will fulfill the following job functions:
curriculum and respective course syllabi.
Provide guidance and resources that help IEC students navigate daily life in the community, including orientation to local services, transportation, and safety, while fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree.
TESOL/TEFL/CELTA certification.
Minimum of five years of experience teaching English as a Second Language (ESL).
Proven effective organizational skills and attention to detail.
Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
Proven ability to manage teams and delegate tasks efficiently.
Demonstrated understanding of higher education infrastructure and academic program administration.
Effective project management and problem-solving skills.
