The Goddard School® located in Canal Winchester is looking for an energetic, outgoing, creative and dependable Assistant Director to join our leadership team!Our ideal candidate is someone who brings a positive attitude to work each day, thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building relationship with families and staff, and isn't afraid to jump in wherever needed!
The assistant director's responsibilities include the following:
  • Manage daily teachers' schedules, ensuring appropriate classroom coverage and staffing.
  • Assist with daily snack preparation and distribution.
  • Developing strong relationships with our families
  • Assist with basic administrative tasks and franchise management tasks, including processing tuition payments and supporting daily school operations.
  • Greet and welcome families during afternoon pick up, creating a warm and inviting enviorment
  • Help plan and coordinate simple, fun school events and family engagement activities.
  • Bring creative ideas for seasonal events
  • Support the Director in maintaining a positive, organized, efficient school environment.
  • Having a genuine love for children and a strong commitment to education
Schedule & Availability
  • Primary schedule: Monday- Friday, 9-6pm
  • Flexibility is a MUST: Must be available to open the building at 6:45am when needed to cover the Directors scheduled days off, unexpected absences, or emergencies.
Qualifications:
  • Associates of Arts or Science Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or a related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • An inspirational leader and team builder
  • Proactive about building relationships with new families and maintaining high enrollment to make sure the students have access to the best curriculum available
  • Organized and able to multitask, strategically resolves challenges, and has a great attitude
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement

Compensation: $17.50 - $18.50 per hour
