About the Role:

The Learning Experience #648 in Middleburg, FL is looking for a passionate and driven Assistant Director to help lead our preschool center to new heights! In this role, youll work alongside our Director to create a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment where young learners can thrive. Responsibilities:

• Support the Center Director in daily operations of a licensed preschool and childcare facility
• Supervise, mentor, and develop classroom teachers and support staff
• Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and health and safety standards
• Assist with enrollment, family engagement, and parent communication
• Help maintain curriculum quality and implementation of early childhood education programs
• Manage staff scheduling, classroom coverage, and administrative tasks
• Step in as acting Director in the absence of the Center Director

Requirements:

• Associates or Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
• 2+ years of experience in a licensed childcare or preschool setting
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience in early childhood education
• Knowledge of Florida childcare licensing regulations and DCF requirements
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Warm, professional demeanor with a genuine passion for child development

Compensation: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
