ASSISTANT DIRECTOR-CAREER CENTER

General Responsibilities:

This position provides strategic leadership for employer engagement, industry partnerships, career technology, and student employment. The role expands students' access to meaningful career opportunities by strengthening relationships, coordinating workplace engagement, and using data to guide outreach and decision-making. It also collaborates with campus and community partners to improve student employment practices and connect on-campus work with career readiness.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Leads employer outreach strategy, including identifying and recruiting new employer partners

  2. Builds and maintains relationships with key employers to support internships, hiring, and long-term engagement

  3. Coordinates and supports career excursions, employer site visits, and industry engagement opportunities that connect students with workplaces and professionals.

  4. Manages data tracking and analytics related to employer engagement, internships, and student outcomes

  5. Supports the university's student employment strategy, infrastructure, and efforts to understand student participation and outcomes.

  6. Partners across campus to strengthen student employment practices and develop supervisor expectations and training aligned with career readiness.

Salary Pay Range: $49,000 - $55,000

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Higher Education Administration, Communications, Public Administration, Business, Social Services or a related field and three (3) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
