Duties Description ITS provides operational support to state agencies on a 24x7x365 basis; some positions may be required to provide this critical service at any time.
The Assistant Deputy Chief Information Officer (ADCIO) is a key senior technology leader within the CIOs office, collaborating closely with the CIO and Deputy CIO to define and implement the agencys forward-thinking technology strategy. This position offers a unique chance to gain broad exposure and deepen your expertise across the full spectrum of enterprise technology, from infrastructure to cutting-edge platforms, while directly contributing to the States critical business initiatives. The ADCIO will provide executive leadership for enterprise technology programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and championing cybersecurity and operational excellence. You will have the opportunity to lead diverse technology teams, spearhead innovation, and manage strategic vendor relationships, playing a vital role in delivering impactful technology solutions that benefit the entire State. This role is instrumental in bridging strategic vision with operational execution, ensuring technology initiatives effectively support the States objectives.

Minimum Qualifications 13 years of experience being progressively responsible for information technology experience, including senior management experience leading multiple IT disciplines, such as managing enterprise technology operations, strategic planning, budgeting, procurement and large-scale technology initiatives.
Substitutions: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology Management or related field will substitute for 4 years and a Masters Degree would substitute an additional year.

Please note: Appointment to this position and continued employment with the agency is contingent upon obtaining and/or maintaining New York State residency within six months of hiring.
