    Assistant Dean of Student Affairs

    Overview

    • The Lyon College School of Veterinary Medicine (LCSVM) seeks a dynamic and collaborative leader to serve as Assistant Dean of Student Affairs.
    • As part of the Office of Professional Programs, this is a unique opportunity to lead the recruitment and admissions process for our incoming DVM students, help monitor academic performance and maintain academic standards, and promote student service and support initiatives.
    • This role is primarily administrative, with opportunities for teaching and outreach/service.

    • Full-time appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.

    Qualifications

    Required

    • MS and/or PhD in education, educational leadership, administration, or student/academic affairs-related fields.
    • Prior service or work history in veterinary medicine or veterinary education is not required.

    Preferred

    • Demonstrated experience as an educator or administrator in higher education.
    • Proven leadership in an educational setting.
    • Involvement with student recruitment and admissions, student orientation, advising, and/or financial aid.

    Responsibilities

    • Serve on the LCSVM Executive Council.
    • In collaboration with the Associate Dean for Professional Programs, lead the recruitment and admissions process for our incoming DVM students and help monitor academic performance and maintain academic standards.
