Tulane University's Program of Nursing is seeking an Assistant Dean of Curriculum & Regulatory Affairs to lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of curricula across all nursing programs. This role ensures alignment with the program's mission, expected outcomes, professional standards, and community needs.

The Assistant Dean will collect, analyze, and present student, curriculum, and program outcomes for the Systematic Evaluation Plan (SEP), using data to inform program improvements, strategic initiatives, and curricular innovation aligned with institutional and regulatory goals. The role ensures ongoing compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements by monitoring updates, communicating changes to stakeholders, and leading the preparation and submission of required reports, including self-studies, annual reports, and substantive change documentation.

The Assistant Dean oversees integration of interprofessional education and simulation experiences in collaboration with the Director of Nursing Simulation Education, and leads continuous quality improvement (CQI) efforts to assess instructional quality and support faculty development. This position also oversees the implementation and maintenance of curriculum-related software systems, including ATI, ExamSoft, and Project Concert, ensuring effective utilization for assessment and program evaluation.

Qualifications

  • Eligibility for a Louisiana RN license.
  • DNP or PhD degree in nursing, with consideration given to related fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in nursing education, including curriculum development and academic administration.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience in curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience in faculty recruitment, mentoring, and development.
  • Familiarity with curriculum and assessment tools such as ATI, ExamSoft, and Project Concert.
  • Proficiency with academic scheduling and student information systems (e.g., Banner, CourseLeaf/CLSS).
  • Experience with clinical placement coordination and affiliation agreements.
