Salary Range: $95,000 - $100,000

Position Overview

Our well-established client is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to support the Chief Financial Officer and oversee key accounting operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting the organization's overall financial management.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working with financial data while collaborating with leadership to maintain compliance and efficient accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations

• Assist in managing daily accounting activities and financial processes
• Prepare and review month-end account reconciliations and financial reports
• Analyze financial records and accounting systems to ensure accuracy and compliance

Financial Controls & Compliance

• Develop and maintain internal accounting controls and best practices
• Ensure adherence to established accounting standards and financial procedures
• Assist with both internal and external audit preparation and documentation

Reporting & Process Improvement

• Support the preparation of financial reports and operational data analysis
• Recommend improvements to accounting procedures and reporting processes
• Help implement accounting policies that strengthen financial accuracy and efficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
• Minimum of 5 years of related accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting practices
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with ERP systems such as Sage 100 is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
