If you enjoy understanding the full financial picture, working directly with accounting leadership, and taking ownership of detailed work across multiple entities, this opportunity offers that breadth.
We’re conducting a confidential search for an Assistant Controller to support a privately held organization with business and investment activities. You’ll work closely with the Controller and CFO on accounting operations, financial reporting, and tax-related support.

- Direct access to leadership: Work closely with the Controller and CFO and contribute information they use to make decisions.
- Room to deepen your expertise: Learn from experienced accounting professionals and outside advisors.
- A long-term opportunity: Join an organization seeking someone who wants to develop a thorough understanding of its operations and contribute over time.

- Prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and support month-end and year-end close.
- Prepare financial statements, account analyses, and supporting schedules.

- Assist the internal tax team and external advisors with workpapers, reconciliations, supporting schedules, and information requests.
- Support tax and estate planning activities through financial analysis and documentation.
- Research discrepancies, resolve accounting issues, and maintain clear supporting records.
- Exercise discretion when handling sensitive financial information.
What You Bring

- Strong analytical skills, clear communication, and careful attention to accuracy.
- Professional judgment, integrity, and a consistent commitment to confidentiality.
Preferred: An active CPA license and experience in public accounting, investment accounting, or a closely held business. Tax experience is strongly preferred, but candidates with strong accounting fundamentals and a willingness to develop their tax knowledge should apply.
