Iskalo Development Corp. is seeking an Assistant Construction Project Manager to join our growing construction and development team. This role is ideal for a motivated construction professional who is looking to build a long-term career in commercial construction and real estate development.Working under the direction of the Director of Construction, the Assistant Project Manager will collaborate closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, consultants, and ownership throughout all phases of construction. Projects include ground-up commercial construction, historic renovations, adaptive reuse developments, hospitality projects, and commercial tenant improvements throughout Western New York.This position offers broad exposure to the full project lifecycle and the opportunity to work on highly visible projects that have a lasting impact on the community.Who We AreIskalo Development is one of the region's premier developers of high-quality buildings of timeless design. And we believe that someone choosing to spend time in one of our buildings, whether it be for work in one of our commercial buildings, an overnight stay in one of our hotels, or for dinner at one of our restaurants, deserves to be treated to excellence in their surroundings.Position ResponsibilitiesAssist with all phases of commercial construction projects from pre-construction through project closeout Support project planning activities including estimating, bidding, scope development, scheduling, and subcontract preparation Coordinate with Project Managers and Superintendents to help maintain project schedules, budgets, and quality standards Review and track submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation Conduct regular job site visits to monitor progress, identify issues, and support field operations Assist in coordinating subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and municipal agencies Support project closeout activities including punch list completion, as-built documentation, and certificate of occupancy requirements Maintain positive working relationships with subcontractors, tenants, clients, and project stakeholders Participate in project meetings and maintain accurate project records and communication logs Represent Iskalo Development professionally at all times QualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, or a related field preferred Associate degree, trade school certification, or equivalent industry experience considered Approximately 1-5 years of construction management, project engineering, or related commercial construction experience Understanding of commercial construction methods, materials, and sequencing Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook Experience with Microsoft Project, Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction management software is a plus Preferred Skills & AttributesStrong attention to detail and follow-through Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Professional communication skills with both field and office personnel Collaborative mindset and willingness to learn Self-motivated with the ability to work independently when needed Ability to adapt to changing project demands and timelines Physical & Work Environment RequirementsWork is performed in both office and active construction site environments Frequent local travel to project sites required Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required Ability to walk active construction sites, climb stairs, and move through partially completed structures Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and work at a computer for extended periods as needed Why Join Iskalo Development?Opportunity to work on impactful and highly visible projects throughout Western New York Exposure to the full construction and development lifecycle Collaborative and experienced leadership team Growth opportunity within a well-established organization Competitive compensation and benefits package
