OVERVIEW
A senior housing community (62+) in Kansas City, operating under project-based Section 8, is looking for an Assistant Community Manager. - Process move-ins and annual/interim recertifications in line with HUD requirements
- Maintain resident files and ensure full compliance with Section 8 and fair housing regulations
- Handle leasing activities including applications, waitlist management, and unit turns
- Build relationships with residents, many of whom have been in the community for years
- Coordinate with maintenance on service requests and unit readiness
- Assist with budgeting, reporting, and rent collection
- Help prepare for and support HUD/management-agent inspections and audits
- Step in for the Community Manager when needed
