Preferred Coach/Advisor Criteria:
- Previous experience coaching/competing in the sport or activity
- A general philosophy on coaching and passion for the sport or activity
- Knowledge of the fundamentals, training, rules, and strategy of the sport or activity
- Ability to effectively communicate with athletes, parents, and administration
- Strong organizational skills
- Develop and implement game strategy and position assignments
- Creating a mutually beneficial relationship between colleagues and the community
- Maintaining a positive and growth-mindset throughout all time of the job
- Monitor academic progress and status of team members, implementing action plans through appropriate staff when needed
- Monitor and maintain the discipline and conduct of students/student athletes to support the image and reputation of the athletics /activity/club program
- Being timely and willing to go the extra mile for the program
Reasonable and reliable attendance is a requirement of this position/job.
The final candidate must successfully complete/pass a criminal background check, pre-employment requirements (physical, TB test, etc.), and hiring paperwork.
