    Position Title: Assistant Coach, Women's Soccer

    Reports To: Head Women's Soccer Coach // Vice President for Athletics

    Classification: Part-Time

    Position Summary

    The part-time Women's Soccer Assistant Coach helps in the organization, development, and administration of competitive NCAA Division II soccer program. This position supports student-athlete success on the field, in the classroom, and in the community while upholding NCAA, Great Lakes Valley Conference, and institutional standards.

    The assistant coach will help cultivate a competitive, values-driven environment aligned with the College's mission, institutional priorities, and the Division II "Life in the Balance" philosophy.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities

    • Assist with planning and conducting team practices, training sessions, and skill development
    • Support game-day preparation, scouting, and coaching during competitions
    • Assist with recruiting prospective student-athletes in compliance with NCAA Division II, GLVC, and institutional rules
    • Support academic success, student-athlete well-being, and personal development
    • Help with program operations, including travel, equipment, and scheduling as assigned
    • Promote a positive team culture emphasizing sportsmanship, accountability, and leadership
    • Represent the soccer program, Athletics Department and institution in a professional manner
    • Comply with all NCAA, GLVC, and institutional policies and procedures

    Qualifications

    Required

    • Previous playing and/or coaching experience at the collegiate, club, or high school level
    • Strong knowledge of soccer fundamentals, tactics, and training methods
    • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as assigned
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
    • Goalkeeper coaching experience

    Preferred

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
    • Previous collegiate coaching experience
    • CPR/First Aid certification

    Position Details

    • Work Schedule: Flexible; includes evenings, weekends, and travel as required for training, competition, and recruiting
