    Position Overview

    The Assistant Women's Swimming Coach provides key operational and instructional support to the Head Coach in planning daily workouts, refining stroke mechanics, and managing meet execution. This position fosters holistic student-athlete development by promoting academic excellence, physical conditioning, and a positive, competitive team culture. Additionally, the role assists with program administration, safety compliance, and recruitment to help elevate the overall success and standing of the team.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist the Head Coach with all aspects of the women's swimming program
    • Perform on-deck coaching duties at practices and competitions, as needed
    • Prepare and write workouts for assigned training groups
    • Attend home and away travel swim meets
    • Other team duties as assigned by Head Coach

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree
    • Strong communication skills
    • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
    • Organizational skills; ability to multi-task/manage several projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
    • Demonstrated flexibility, creativity, strategic-thinking skills; willingness to learn and take initiative
    • Proven ability to work autonomously, collaboratively, and within a team structure.
    • Proficiency in office software systems such as: MS Word, Office, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Desired candidate will have outstanding verbal communication skills and be able to work effectively with student-athletes, coaches, administrators, and other athletics staff.
